While in the jungle, you will see several primates plus birds as well as track the large mountain gorillas. DETAILED GORILLA TOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1: Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Set off from Kigali and drive to the border of Rwanda and Uganda to cross into Uganda. Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Relax at the lodge and later go sightseeing and even visit the resident Batwa who will entertain you with their traditional dance.

DAY 2: Gorilla Tracking, Cultural Entertainment
Following an early breakfast you will be briefed by your guide and then head out to track the gorillas within Bwindi forests. Gorilla tracking may be tiring because of the terrain of Bwindi is quite challenging. You will be required to carry a packed lunch plus drinking water, and have comfortable hiking boots or strong shoes, and a light rain jacket since the weather in Bwindi is very unpredictable. Walking sticks will be available from the park rangers.
A friendly encounter with these gentle giants will be your most exciting experience! For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The park rangers will brief you on how to conduct yourself in the presence of the gentle giants. On finding the gorillas you will see the silver backs, an amazing sight of a lifetime.
You will go for a cultural walk in the evening, to interact with some of the local people. Take part in the amazing traditional performances done by the Women’s groups or one of the orphan-children groups. Keep in mind that the money you pay for their performances is directly channeled to improving the wellbeing of families living around the park.

DAY 3: Cross to Rwanda- Kigali, City Tour
Enjoy breakfast prior to starting on the scenic drive to Rwanda across the beautiful landscape of the rolling verdant terraced hills. Drive across the twisty road to Kisoro town where you will have lunch and then proceed to the border of Uganda and Rwanda and cross into Rwanda. Take a city tour to visit the Genocide Memorial Grounds.
