Tour Overview
Six days on Tanzania’s Northern Circuit is what we call the sweet spot. It is long enough to fully immerse yourself in each destination. It is also short enough to feel like a focused, energising holiday rather than an exhausting expedition.
This itinerary covers every major park in the region with arrival and departure days built in. As a result, your wildlife time never feels rushed. You move from Tarangire’s baobab groves and elephant herds to the bird-rich shores of Lake Manyara. Then come the sweeping open plains of the Serengeti , two full days to go beyond the surface, tracking predators at dawn and watching the afternoon light transform the landscape. The safari closes with a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, where lions, rhinos, hippos, and flamingos share a single extraordinary bowl of ancient earth.
Every evening, you return to a comfortable camp or lodge. Every morning, you wake to birdsong and the anticipation of what the day might bring.
This is Tanzania done properly , not in a sprint, but with the unhurried curiosity that the world’s greatest wildlife destination deserves.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Arrive in Arusha , the safari capital of Tanzania , where your Kori Safaris guide will meet you at the airport. Check in to your hotel, enjoy a welcome dinner, and receive a full briefing about the incredible days ahead. Arusha sits in the shadow of Mount Meru, Africa’s fifth-highest peak, and the air here is cool and refreshing.
Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, head south to Tarangire. Spend a full day exploring the park’s remarkable ecosystems , from the river floodplain teeming with elephants to the open grasslands hunted by lion and cheetah. Tarangire’s bird life is extraordinary, with over 500 species recorded, making it a paradise for birding enthusiasts. Overnight at camp.
Day 3: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park
Leave Tarangire after a morning game drive and travel northwest through the Ngorongoro Highlands into the Serengeti. The landscape shifts dramatically with every passing kilometre, and arriving in the Serengeti for the first time is always a powerful moment. Afternoon game drive. Overnight in the Serengeti.
Day 4: Full Day Serengeti Safari
A day to live your safari dreams. From predawn starts to evening sundowners, this is pure Serengeti immersion. Your guide will spend the entire day interpreting the ecosystem , from lion hunting tactics to the intricate relationship between wildebeest and grass. This is the day many guests describe as the best of their lives.
Day 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Bid farewell to the Serengeti after a morning drive and transfer to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Evening walks along the crater rim, with panoramic views over the vast caldera basin, are utterly peaceful. Overnight at a rim lodge.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Manyara – Arusha
Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a comprehensive half-day game drive, then visit Lake Manyara National Park on the way back to Arusha. Known for tree-climbing lions and vast flocks of flamingos, Manyara is a beautiful final chapter before returning to the city.
