Tour Itinerary outline – What Your Day Looks Like
Your guide will collect you from your Kigali hotel at 4:00 AM for the scenic drive northwest to Kinigi Park Offices. Early mornings in Rwanda are something special with crisp air, quiet roads, and the anticipation of what lies ahead.
By 7:00 AM, you’ll join the morning briefing and registration at the park, where rangers introduce your gorilla family and walk you through what to expect on the trail. Then the trek begins , winding through bamboo forest and volcanic slopes until you find your gorilla family. You’ll have a precious one hour in their presence, watching them feed, play, and go about their lives. It’s the kind of moment that stays with you long after you’ve gone home.
After the trek, you’ll enjoy a packed lunch before your guide drives you back to Kigali, dropping you off at your hotel or the international airport in time for your onward journey.
