Day-by-Day Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Welcome Dinner
Your private vehicle collects you from the airport and transfers you to one of Arusha’s finest hotels. Your Kori Safaris host joins you for a welcome briefing over a candlelit dinner, going through every detail of your upcoming adventure.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park – Luxury Lodge
Full-day game drives in Tarangire from a luxury lodge within or adjacent to the park. Late afternoon guided bush walk with an armed ranger. Sundowner drinks at a scenic viewpoint before returning to your lodge for a gourmet dinner.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Drive to Ngorongoro and spend the afternoon exploring the rim’s extraordinary highland landscapes. Your lodge sits on the crater edge with views that take your breath away. Enjoy a spa treatment and gourmet dinner as the sun sets over the caldera.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Full Day
A full day descending into and exploring the Ngorongoro Crater at a relaxed pace. Your private vehicle gives you complete flexibility , linger where the wildlife is best and move on when you choose. Lunch at the famous Ngorongoro Crater Lodge picnic site.
Day 5: Ngorongoro – Central Serengeti
Transfer to the Central Serengeti and check into your luxury tented camp. Afternoon game drive followed by champagne sundowners in the bush. Your camp team sets up a private outdoor dinner under the stars.
Day 6: Hot Air Balloon Safari over the Serengeti
Today features one of the most extraordinary experiences available anywhere in Africa. Rise before dawn and lift off above the Serengeti plains in a hot air balloon at first light. As the sun rises over the horizon and the plains stretch out in every direction below you, the silence is broken only by the occasional flame of the burner. Spot wildlife from above before landing for a full champagne bush breakfast. The rest of the day is for game drives.
Day 7: Northern Serengeti – Migration Zone
Transfer to the Northern Serengeti for access to the Great Migration crossing zones. Spend the afternoon at the Mara River, watching the incredible drama of the crossings (July–October) or tracking the vast herds across the plains in other seasons.
Day 8: Morning Safari – Return to Arusha
One final game drive before the drive or flight back to Arusha. A safari of this calibre deserves a long goodbye.
